“If you never challenge yourself, you will never know your potential.”

Michael Phelps.

The most decorated Olympian of all time. You all know this. What you probably don’t know is that when Phelps first began to swim at age seven, he was too scared to put his head under the water.

But look at him now. Does it seem like he’s afraid to put his head under the water?

Walt Disney.

One of the most well-known, successful entrepreneurs. You all know this. What you probably don’t know is that Disney was laid off many times, rejected even more, and had more failures than you would think. He was always told he wasn’t good enough, that he should stop drawing and animating.

But look at his work now. Does it seem like he listened to them?

Oprah Winfrey.

One of the biggest TV stars today. You all know this. What you probably don’t know is that her whole childhood was spent moving around because she was unwanted, mistreated, and sexually abused. A lot of people in her life died before she attended college. She even got pregnant as young as age 14.

But look at her now. Did that make her give up on life?

Obviously, I’m trying to make a point. Celebrities like Phelps, Disney, and Winfrey are normal people, like us. But you know what makes them celebrities? They never gave up. And I know that’s cliche, but it’s not only because they never gave up. They believed they could do it.

Personally, I believe that anybody can do anything. If you wanted to be a boss at football, you could practice every day, eat healthy, work out, and if you really really wanted to, you could play football, all you girls included as well. Maybe not to the extent that Peyton Manning or Tom Brady can play, but you could seriously get good enough to be better at it than most people.

What’s stopping you? Physique? Work out. Knowledge of the game? Keep watching and learning. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from accomplishing what you want.

“If you never challenge yourself, you will never know your potential.” This was said by Martin Vasquez, a former soccer player and current coach. People are always too afraid to go beyond what they know they can do.

You almost passed out after running a  half-marathon? That’s all you can do? Absolutely not. You have to push past that wall that you think exists. Cause guess what? It doesn’t exist. People have more potential than they know – they just need to test themselves.

I have no picture for this post, I just wanted to write a short little something to give people motivation. I’ve had this post written out for a while, but I never got around to posting it until today. 🙂
